Parkview Manor

Nursing and skilled Care

Care at Parkview Manor involves more than medical attention, room and board, and social activities. We consider fulfillment of individual needs as our priority for our residents. Our goal is to help our residents to be as independent as possible so they can reach their highest potential. We ensure self-dignity through an understanding, supportive environment. Our residents are cared for — and cared about.

Care is provided under the supervision of the resident’s personal physician. Registered and Licensed Practical Nurses, assisted by Certified Medication Aides, Certified Nurse Aides and Certified Rehab Aides, provide the appropriate care to meet each resident’s needs. At Parkview, you will find open dining, 24 hour snacks, and selective meal patterns allowing residents to pick and choose what they want, when they want.

Parkview employs outgoing and friendly professional staff, to create social programs and activities to meet the resident's needs.

Family and friends are always welcome to visit, share mealtime with them and attend any of our daily activities and special events.

Selecting a Skilled Care Facility

Choosing a health care facility for a loved one can be difficult. The concern focuses on the quality of life provided. It is important for you and your family members to visit the facility to make sure that it meets your needs, as well as those of your family. A few things to consider when choosing a facility are listed here.

  • Is the facility accepting new residents?

  • Is the facility easy to visit for family and friends?

  • Does the facility use hospitals where my doctor practices?

  • Does the facility have the services I need?

  • Does the facility have a variety of activities I might enjoy?

  • Do residents appear clean and well groomed?

  • Do the residents have the same staff on a daily basis?

  • Is there enough staff available to assist residents?

  • Does the staff respond quickly to resident’s calls for help?

  • Does the facility have an active resident and/or family council?

  • Is the facility clean and pleasant?

  • Is the facility certified by Medicare and Medicaid?

  • Are both the facility and current administrator licensed?

  • How much is the cost of care in the facility?

  • What services are included in this price?

  • What additional costs will I have to pay?

  • Is the previous facility’s annual state inspection report available for my review?

  • Did the report find any problems?

  • How were these issues addressed?
